They handle client communications and are responsible for overseeing Senior Accountants, Staff, and Interns, providing supervision, training, and reviewing their work. Additionally, Supervisors play roles in business development and proposal processes for potential clients.ExpectationsLead engagement teams on multiple projects to ensure work aligns with project scope, including tasks such as:Maintaining client bank, vendor, and payroll recordsPreparing month-end or period-end packages using accruals or cash basis accountingAssisting clients with budgets, forecasts, or projectionsBuilding, analyzing, or preparing dashboards and KPI metricsEnsure timely completion of client deliverables and maintain clear communication with clients and team membersFrequent interaction with clients as needed, delegating responsibilities as necessaryMonitor team adherence to project budgets and analyze potential overrunsGenerate client invoices regularly and follow up on outstanding accounts receivableConduct team training and participate in business development activities, including travel as neededRequirementsMinimum 7-10 years' accounting experience, including recent account management roles in industry finance or public accountingThorough understanding of double entry accounting and performance of accounting tasksProficiency in U.S. GAAP and knowledge of tax matters including individual, corporate, sales, property, and business taxesBachelor’s degree in accounting or related fieldStrong communication skills in English, both written and verbalWillingness to travel to client or other office locationsProficiency in Excel and at least one accounting software program like QuickBooks onlineProactive with problem-solving skills, able to work both independently and as part of a teamOvertime work may be required at timesPreferred qualificationsExperience with accounting software programs like Xero, Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com, or ConcurFluency in Spanish or another language is advantageousSpecialized accounting knowledge in a particular industry or areaActive CPA license or equivalent
