Bookkeeper PositionWe are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our fast-growing CPA firm in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our clients, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, take initiative, team-oriented individual who possesses excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and people skills. Strong attention to detail is critical as well as the ability to be a significant team player for busy office.Job DutiesPerform monthly bank & credit card reconciliationsPrepare and post journal entries into general ledger system for multiple clientsPrepare monthly financial reporting packages for clientsProcess payroll and file Federal and State monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax reports for multiple clientsPrepare trial balances, workpapers and reconciliations as part of annual income tax compliance projectsPrepare monthly sales tax reportsPerform data entry and administrative dutiesInform clients of project status and make information requestsProvide support on ad-hoc requests and related special projects, as requiredAbility to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive informationStrong computer skills including Microsoft Excel & Word experienceExperienceMinimum of 2 years of previous bookkeeping experienceFundamental knowledge of accounting principles and practicesExperience with accounting software including QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks OnlineAbility to prioritize and multi-taskStrong organization skillsDeadline and detail-orientedEducationDegree in Accounting or related fieldBookkeeping and/or payroll certificationsBenefitsMedical, dental & vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time offFlexible work schedule
